WMF SPITZENHLASSE PLUS CARVING KNIFE 20CM
The WMF carving knife is ideal for cutting and slicing raw or roast meat. The carving knife has a large blade which ensures a solid and clean cut through the fibres of the meat so that no valuable meat juices run out when slicing. As meat is portioned very differently, smaller portions can also be cut with this carving knife. It can therefore also be used for dicing the meat delicately or cutting the meat into strips. A carving knife should be an integral part of every basic set of kitchen knives and is therefore included in the WMF knife sets as well.
WMF operates one of the largest German blade forges in Hayingen (Baden-Württemberg). Every year, hundreds of thousands of knives are manufactured according to a traditional forging method, blending old world hand craftsmanship with modern technology. The knives are produced in our own blade forgery using high-quality hardened, special blade steel (15% chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel). This material guarantees an extraordinary sharpness and elasticity, corrosion resistance and long-lasting sharpness of the knife blades. All knives from WMF are stainless and resistant to acids and rust.
WMF knives are built by hand using the forging hammer, sharpened several times and polished until they have a flawless surface. Each knife features a computer controlled cutting edge to ensure the final edge of the blade is precise and uniform from the tip to the heel of the knife. WMF knives feature a 20° cutting edge on each side to achieve the perfect balance between sharpness and edge retention. And now with our new state-of-the-art production technology, Performance Cut, WMF has achieved even higher quality with our knives. Performance Cut features precision blade grinding at an exact and constant angle, perfect blade withdrawal and a new and innovative refinement of the steel which makes it finer, harder and less prone to corrosion. The extra-sharp knives do not simply stay sharp for longer; their longer cutting ability exceeds expectations and the European DIN standard 8442-5 by double.
The triple-riveted handles are made from high-grade, hygienic composite material that resist moisture and sit comfortably in the hand. The Spitzenklasse Plus collection includes knife styles most used by professional chefs and home cooks.
