Amisfield Estate Pinot Noir 2014, New release
Established in 1988, Amisfield is a based specialist producer of pinot noir and aromatic white wines sourced from fruit grown on its Estate vineyard beneath the Pisa mountain range in the Cromwell Basin, Central Otago. This privately owned company’s 200ha property, once a prominent high country merino station, is one of the largest single vineyard estates in the Central Otago region.
Amisfield Estate is implementing organic grape growing strategies across their vineyard and is registered as in conversion with New Zealand's leading organic certification body, BioGro.
An appealing ruby hue, sweet aromatics of black cherries with a botanic note and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is broad, complex and lush with dark chocolate characters and gripping tannins on the finish. Drink now or in four to five years.
